Conant Metal & Light

After fifteen years of manufacturing, the market began to change. Competitive pressure from China ramped up, the economy cooled off, and Conant decided to steer away from mass production. In 2008, Steve sold the Conant Custom Brass weather instrument division and re-named the company Conant Metal & Light, Inc. We began focusing on manufacturing unique lighting solutions and one-off works of art and the company grew with Steve at the helm for fifteen more years.

Having steered the business through various transformations and niches over a span of nearly 45 years, Steve knew he had to find the right person to carry the torch. In 2023, he made the decision to sell Conant Metal & Light to Mike Flanagan.
